OVERVIEW OF THE INSTALLATION PROCESS
A proper block paving job starts with excavating to the correct depth, followed by laying a compacted MOT Type 1 sub-base. Edge restraints are installed to keep the shape intact. A sharp sand bed is spread and levelled before blocks are placed in the chosen pattern. Once in place, kiln-dried sand is brushed between the joints, and the surface is compacted to lock the blocks in. The final result is a level, solid surface for daily use.

Block paving is straightforward to maintain with occasional sweeping and re-sanding of joints to keep the surface stable.
